Many young Los Angeles residents gathered for a night of healing and expression in response to the recent police-involved killings of African American men across the country.

Boston police investigate the scene June 19, 2015, where a state police trooper fatally shot a man on a footbridge near Boston University. The man, later identified as Santos Laboy, was shot after he allegedly refused to put down a knife and threatened the trooper. Laboy was pronounced dead at the scene after police and paramedics unsuccessfully attempted to revive him, according to Massachusetts State Police. This shooting was the sixth officer-involved fatal shooting this year in Massachusetts, according to Boston Globe reports and data collected by the Guardian newspaper.
